Journal Summary
This paper studies the antecedents that affect directly and can be implemented effectively to gain the competitive advantage of rural tourism from the local communities’ point of view. In the past, the factors identified for various destinations throughout the universe have been thoroughly studied, including the intended or unintended economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts triggered by tourism activities. This study will also examine the awareness of local communities and support tourism as efforts in community relations decide a destination management 's performance, especially in rural areas. The participation of stakeholders will be examined as cooperation between different parties is necessary for achieving sustainable rural tourism in order to build a competitive advantage.

Reason Action Theory 1975 by Azjen & Fishben
According to Azjen & Fishben (1975), the theory of reasoned action suggests that a person’s behavior is determined by their intention to perform the behavior and that this intention is, in turn, a function of their attitude toward the behavior and subjective norms. Intention or instrumentality is the best predictor of actions (belief that the action will contribute to the expected outcome). The more favorable the attitude and social norms, and the greater the perceived power, the stronger the intention of the individual to conduct the behaviour.
